"KUT Rock of Ages - Austin, TX 1978"
This is a *rare* interview / live performance
recording from radio station KUT in Austin, Texas from
1978. Chilton seemed pretty drunk at the time and made
some very revealing comments about his own musicial
past, the breakup of Big Star and the like. This was
pre "Like Flies ..." and he plays several acoustic
tunes including Rock Hard, Riding Through The Reich, No
More The Moon Shines On Lorena, Wimoweh etc.
A few years ago on the Yahoo Alex Chilton Group
there was a great debate as to it's
validity when it was offered (read: dangled over our
heads) by Ms. Vivian Darkbloom. Suffice it to say it IS
pretty revealing as to where Alex's head was at back at
that time.
Peace,
Jeff
