This is a handy little volume to have: 18 songs drawn from the group's three albums, remastered fairly late so the sound is decent if not spectacular, and concisely annotated, with a discography (with full instrumental credits) — and it's mid-priced as well. The selection is excellent, touching every necessary base, from "Stuck in the Middle with You" on down. It's eerie (and a mark of the members' professionalism) to listen to the material here and realize that the group was in a state of complete lineup and personal disarray for much of the time they were working on any of it.
