This line-up of the band toured during September 1985 in a package tour sponsored by Chrysler to raise funds for the restoration on the Statue Of Liberty. Also on that tour were THE FOUR TOPS, THE ASSOCIATION, Tommy James, and Mark Lindsay. SPIRIT amazingly also backed up Mark Lindsay on his set! In November, they did some solo dates in California, Michigan and Canada. They were still signed to Polygram at this point, and recorded a two song demo in Detroit during this tour, likely to send to the label. The songs were most likely "I Can't Stop It" and "Son Of America". Unfortunately, the people who signed them in the first place had left the label, and they were dropped from their four album deal after the one album (SPIRIT Of '84/THE THIRTEENTH DREAM).
