Led Zeppelin's fifth album is an ambitious work that demonstrates that the band had matured beyond the initial blues-influenced quartet style that catapulted them to international fame. The group, guided by producer-guitarist Jimmy Page, started to fully expand its studio skills and vision after the success of Led Zeppelin II. On this, their fifth outing, each member takes a turn shining in the musical spotlight, supported perfectly by the musicianship of fellow bandmates. Of course, they can still rock with the best of them, even on the acoustic numbers! Each song is, in itself, an eclectic musical adventure: folk, Middle Eastern, blues, and even a hint of R&B/soul are all strong influences on this album. Features: The Song Remains the Same, The Rain Song, Over the Hills and Far Away, The Crunge, Dancing Days, D'yer Ma'ker, No Quarter, and The Ocean. All in all, it is an exceptional collection.
