Thrakattak is a collection of live, improvised pieces the 1995 edition of King Crimson performed during their fall tour. Often, the group delves into dense, treacherous waters, heading into the unknown with reckless abandon. Sometimes, this results in soaring, majestic music, but occasionally it means that the band meanders directionlessly for far too long. And that means that even though this is filled with great, challenging music, there is simply too much mediocre material for anyone but diehard Crimson fans.
