Cassette(audience, unknown gen from a trade in c.1989) > wav > Groove Mechanic(dehiss) > wav > Soundforge(slight eq to brighten it up a bit) > wav > CDWave(split tracks on sector boundaries) > wav > flac(6)
Flacs are half the size they'd normally be because the right channel was better quality so I just used this and doubled it up.
THIS IS A DIFFERENT SHOW TO THE "Live At The Roxy" CD, it's over 4 months later. I compared the two just to make sure they're different performances, and they are, different vocal phrasing, different song structure in parts. The setlists are different too, but I compared it anyway just to be sure.
When I received this it was dated Aug'77. I searched and only found two dates for X-Ray Spex performing at the Roxy. One was 1977-03-11 (The Roxy CD), and the other was 1977-07-22, so I'm going with that date. If someone at a later date discovers that they also played the Roxy in August then maybe it's that one.
It's quite a good audience recording for 1977. You can hear the tape recorder getting battered around in parts. Thanks to the taper for taping this!

I'm only aware of 6 X-Ray Spex gigs that are allowable on Dime,
They are...
X-Ray Spex - 1977.07.22 - Roxy, London
X-Ray Spex - 1977.xx.xx - White Lion, Putney
X-Ray Spex - 1978.02.17 - New Regent Hotel, Brighton
X-Ray Spex - 1978.03.17 - CBGB's, New York (shn)
X-Ray Spex - 1978.03.25 - CBGB's, New York
X-Ray Spex - 1978.04.30 - Victoria Park, London
I'll go on to seed the other 5 unless someone else beats me to it.
(Incidentally the 2 that aren't allowed are London ROxy 1977.03.11 = "Live at The Roxy" & 1 song [Let's Submerge] on a compilation "Hope & Anchor Front Row Festival" 1977.11.30)
And only yesterday I discovered this which I never knew existed...
X-Ray Spex live at the Hope & Anchor

Although it's listed in the description as 1978 the date at the end of the video is 1977 and the announcer says Poly is 19 years old so it has to be before her birthday on 3 July 1977, so the video will be from April/May/June 1977. Does anyone have a DVD quality version of this they can seed? (It doesn't include Let's SUbmerge so there's no problem of it clashing with the track on the Hope & Anchor album. It's a different date anyway.)
