Notes:
This is an odd little item, and I have seeded it exactly as I received it
in November of 1980. At that time, a friend of mine came to me with a
reel that he had just borrowed from an acquaintance who had just returned from
England.
In the intevening years, I have never heard these demos anywhere else. A version
of "No Road Romance" had circulated, but I've never heard it and can't say
whether or not it's the same performance as this one. If it is, my apologies.
The two versions of "No Road Romance" appear to be the very same performance.
I don't know why it appears twice. The only difference between the two is that
the first one has a "microphone bump" at the very beginning, and sounds slightly
less good than the second version.
As for the demo of "Another Tricky Day," well, I think it blows away any other
version I've ever heard. It seems somehow more suited to Pete's voice and phrasing
than to Roger's. Sorry, Rodge.
