Venus and Mars (Optimal Source Series)
Now, THIS was an unexpected result. The lesson here is, don't always get drawn in by what seems so obvious. Just because a CD says it is a remaster, just because the engineer is widely reveered, just because the CD is pressed in GOLD...doesn't always make it sound great or even worth buying!! In fact, Steve Hoffman has admitted that at least some of the original FAME releases of the McCartney CDs are the best sounding. Yes..even better than Steve's own DCCs. That is definitely the case with Venus and Mars. In fact, I only used one song off the DCC, and that was a bonus track. Just as before, Wingspan won for the one song it had. I edited in the talking at the beginning that was even omitted from the DCC disk!! Unfortunately, Venus and Mars/Rockshow on Wingspan is the drastically edited single version, so it wasn't usable here.
I removed "Zoo Gang", because I already issued that on the Band On The Run OSS torrent.
