I think this tape is rather uncommon (?). Great set played to a very excited crowd.
Based on many different shows I have heard it seems that the folks in and around the
Boston area really loved the Magic Band. Nice. The taper and or his friends are very
excited throughout the whole show.
There is a little cut right before Moonlight On Vermont, as a result the opening
drum break is missing. A tape flip occurs right after the same song. A very nice version of
Old Fart here, the last part of the narration ( without the music ) is really great.
The follwing recital of 'Well' is also very cool, even though Don bails out before it
is actually completed. Overall this is a very good performance and Bruce Fowler is just
awesome. Not the best sounding tape ever, but still a very good listen. Unless the original
taper shares a copy I believe that this is about as good as it will get. Enjoy.
