David Bowie - Mit einem Mädchen vom Bahnhof Zoo
10 April 1976
Deutschlandhalle, Berlin, Germany
I asked dadgad if he´s willing to put his hand on this recording. Fortunately, he did :-)
Here are dagads notes about his work :
I applied some speed correction (+3%) to the good sounding tape only, just speed not pitch, phase correction and sound equalization with a bit of compression of the lower register to the whole recording with different settings respectively.
I have also faded in and out the beginning and the end of the whole recording and de-clicked the bad sounding tape because was plagued by digi pops and clicks.
Everything was processed with dedicated plugins through Adobe Audition 3.0.

Notes: This release is a mix of two recordings : one available on MWP as torrent ID 1148, and second one coming from one of my trade CDRs, labeled as "Berlin 76".
Unfortunately, after I contacted the source of my recording, he said that he has no idea which generation was the tape used to make the CD. I think it's quite safe to say that it's a very high generation tape, since it suffers from a total lack of quality. It's listenable, but far from great. Anyway, the recording available on MWP contains tracks from Word on a Wing up to Rebel Rebel. "Berlin 76" had the first three ones - Station to Station, Suffragette City and Fame. I thought it may be a good idea to mix these two up. Since the MWP recording contains only a part of Word on a Wing, the beginning from "Berlin 76" was used.
I've also fixed the indexing a little bit, hopefully you'll think it's better now. I've also joined Panic in Detroit into one huge track. I thought that maybe another recording of this concert that I have would contain the entire drum solo ("Right Is So Vague", KTLA CD95), but upon listening to it carefully I found out that it practically wasn't there at all.
If you're a completist (like me, especially concerning this concert), you should be happy. Be warned that the quality of the first "three and a half" tracks is far from great.
Everything was encoded using FLAC -V -8. No additional sound processing was made except normalizing the volume levels and modifying the indexes.
