Recorded with Core Sound bi-noral mics (sewn into the edges of the visor of my hat), a Sharpe Mt877 mini-disc recorder. Sixth row center. Levels boosted and tracked with Audacity on a macbook pro. flac conversion done with Switch.
This was the promised short set that followed a Q & A with documentary director Drew DeNicola and Big Star's lone surviving member, Jody Stephens. That following a screening of the superb documentary "Big Star: Nothing Can Hurt Me."
Jody appeared to be sick. Coughing and his voice was shot. He tried to muster up some vocals for "Ballad of El Goodo" but (thankfully) stuck to tambourine for the rest of the set.
