The Stranglers were gaining a reputation and a crowd by April of 77, their debut single Grip had been well received and Rattus Norvegicus was about to be released, it went straight into the UK charts at No4.
This is a stunning document of the band at the Roundhouse … with classics such as No More Heroes getting their first airing…. The psychedelic swirls of Sewer and Peasant showcase the genius of their craft.
This shows why they were always a class above some of their ‘punk’ peers. Brilliant stuff.
I acquired this from a serious collector and is a first gen copy of the master. Enjoy.
