This was a wonderful gig!!!
Notes:
(1) This gig had almost no promotion, and it showed. There were only about 40 in the audience - all diehard fans (including me). Thus, it was quite informal.
(2) Iain's comment about not performing anything from Plainsong was probably in reference to my earlier conversation with him when I told him that the only time that I'd been able to catch a gig before was when he was performing with Plainsong.
(3) This is supposedly (and probably will be) Iain's last tour of the US. He had just released his first US CD in 15 years, and touring was a requirement. It had been over 10 years since he'd been back in the US, even though he lived here for over 20 years.
(4) Iain was accompanied by Pat Thomas (playing bongos) on some songs. Iain referred to him as "Bongo Pat" and it appears he may now never shake that nickname :-) .
Although I have MANY of Iain's recordings, I had to guess at a few songs in the setlist. (Boy he's written a lot of songs!!!) I would really appreciate any corrections. I think that everything is accurate except for (1), (2), and possibly (8) and (18).
