Roxy Music - Merga-rare restored vinyl "Air Treatments", supposedly Air Studios London, Autumn 1973 - speed-corrected and rejoined - a Hunger City exclusive!
The Roxy fan site Roxyrama states these tracks are from the German Musikladen TV show in November 1973, referenced here:http://www.roxyrama.com/releases/unauthorised/vinyl/air_treatments.shtml .
Uh-uh, as in "no they don't appear to be" According to the Wikipedia entry for Musikladen, found here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Musikladen, they did play in May of that year, but none of those tracks appear on my album. There's a video of the May 1973 show on YouTube, which backs the setlist on the Wikipedia. My setlist is:
Street Life
Tuneups
Amazona
Psalm
Pyjamerama
Mother Of Pearl
(Two following tracks, The Numberer and a second version of Pyjamerama appear to be officially released singles)
It sounds a lot like a rehearsal session, and I'd even go with the cover info if it could be proven (Air Studios London Autumn 1973). It's been stated by peers on previous torrents that the Roxy fan site is full of wrong information. Since there's no actual way to prove this is an officially-released session and the songs don't match the May Musikladen, please listen to these tracks and tell me what you think.
This LP has probably set a record for me for use of most speed correction on the turntable. Wow, was it slow. There's a false edit in "Psalm", I've left that alone as there wasn't a good way to make it sound seamless.
Lineage:
LP ->Sound Forge ->FLAC via TLH level 6, sectors aligned and verified, FLAC integrity checked
Enjoy!
