Bob Dylan
Blonde On Blonde
France Mono
CBS 66012
From Roger Ford's ELECTRIC DYLAN website:
"Mono Vinyl (France)
The French mono album seems to have used a second generation of mixes, most of which would have been made in Los Angeles. For Sides 1 and 4 these were in fact the final mixes also used on the finished US release. However, judging from the samples I have heard the French disc mastering makes the sound quality decidedly more tinny - a real Dansette sound. There is much less bass and more upper mid-range than on US mono pressings.
Sides 2 and 3 have the same brash sound quality, but offer unique mixes of "Leopard-Skin Pill-Box Hat", "Temporary Like Achilles", "4th Time Around" and "Obviously 5 Believers". These songs were revised again for the final US release."
