Elton John
"Country Comfort"
Liberated Vinyl Bootleg
1970 (possibly Santa Monica, CA 11-15-1970)
Very Good Audience or SBD
Lineage: Vinyl>WAV>FLAC8
I recently purchased this vinyl bootleg, and thought I would share it here. If my research is correct, the "Country Comfort" bootleg is from the Civic Auditorium in Santa Monica, CA. The date commonly associated with this show is November 15, 1970, but that is not necessarily correct (per the "Cornflakes and Classics" website) as it has been confirmed he actually played the Fillmore West that night.I believe a more complete version of this show has appeared on DIME a few years ago, but I don't have it and can't compare my version to those (please re-seed if you have it). As this is direct from old vinyl, there are some "pops and clicks", but the quality is very good considering the age.
The Band:
Elton John- Piano/vocals
Dee Murray- Bass/vocals
Nigel Olsson- Drums/vocals
The Songs:
Your Song
Take Me to the Pilot
Country Comfort
Sixty Years On
Border Song
Honky Tonk Woman
Burn Down the Mission (Medley- Get Back, Give Peace a Chance, Shotgun)
