Led Zeppelin Live at the LA Forum 1970-03-27 from 2nd gen Reel-to-Reel with
thunderous sound(Bill B. Tape) - includes a 25 minute "How Many More Times" and
a "Whole Lotta Love" with organ solo - a must for your LZ collection! (mp3
sample included)
Well, yes it's a mouthful, but isn't it always?
What sets this show apart is the fact that the great blues medley has been
stripped from "Whole Lotta Love" and is now part of "How Many More Times". Also,
there's that organ playing throughout the concert. "WLL" actually includes an
organ solo (imagine that one!) During "HMMT", Robert Plant stops the concert
dead to lead the audience in a rendition of "I Got You In The Sights Of My
Loving Gun". The version of "WLL" is the closest to the album version I've ever
heard (but it's not really that close because of the organ).
This is one great concert!
Many thanks to Bill B. for sustaining "injury to his moral fibers" while
climbing through his closet for me to find this tape. You rule!
According to Dime member Acapulcogold, this is rec2. Missing from this recording
are "Since I've Been Loving You", "Bring It On Home", and "White Summer/Black
Mountainside", which were also performed that night.
