Originally issued in Canada 1990 on RCA KCD1-7157
Revised and remastered at Remasters Workshop 2009
This highly collectible set was the first of only four volumes of Canadian classics and obscurities released by many licensing agreements with RCA, in a project spearheaded by legendary executive Paul White. They have been out of print since about 1992, and are very hard to find now.
All but two tracks on this disc are from tape source. Phase has been corrected where necessary. The two vinyl tracks have been further declicked. Two tracks have been replaced: the CD contains the Denon remixed remaster of "Lighthouse - One Fine Morning." It's nice, but it doesn't sound much like the original record. So the track has been replaced here by the original album mix, restored from the LP "One Fine Morning." And all released instances of the stereo mix of "April Wine - You Could Have Been A Lady" fade in from regenerated tape echoes. It has been replaced here by the stereo mix with a clean intro, the version which was released on the mono single.
