Following 6 performances showcasing "New York" on the Japanese leg of the
tour, we get a beautiful performance of "Songs For Drella" with John Cale.
This is taken from a first generation tape I received from the taper shortly after the show, it is recorded very close to the stage while the circulating recorder has a touch of distance on it.
In fact it may have been recorded a little too close as Lou's guitar is right on the edge of distortion at times, though not enough to take away from the overall enjoyment in my opinion. The "Nobody But You" sample below is about the most you will hear.
All thanks go to the original taper I lost touch with so many years ago and to
E from JEMS for the interim use of his backup Nakamichi DR-1 while my NAK is in the hospital, his generosity makes this share possible.
